Do you board pets?
No, we are strictly an in your home pet sitting service.
 Are you Bonded?

Not anymore. Bonding has become obsolete. We are now fully insured with a special property coverage that is better suited for client protection. You as a client will receive copied certification of our coverage.

Do you have references?

Yes, we do. You are emailed a list of our references prior to consultation.

What is a free initial consultation?

We come to your home at a pre-appointed time well in advance of your departure date. At the consultation you get to know us, and we get to know you, your pets, and also collect veterinarian, pet care, and household info. We also collect two tested-working keys and payment for services.

What do you mean by,“late payment fee”?

We expect payment for services before service commencement. Payment is given at initial consultation. Once you are an established client, payment may be left at a designated area of your home. If you “forget” to leave the payment by the commencement of the service, you will be charged a late fee of $15.00 after the first 24 hours of non-payment, plus a fee of $20 if we must make a trip to pick up the payment after you return home. If payment is received within the first 24 hours from wherever you are, via Paypal, this fee is waived less the Paypal fee. Our usual policy is to not allow monies to be owed at any time for any reason.

Why do you want two keys at the consultation?

We are a 2-person business. One or the other of us may sit for your pets. We both must have quick access to your key, especially if something were to happen to one of us. Also, in the unlikely event that a key is misplaced (that has never happened…if it did however, our insurance covers key/lock replacement), we will have the spare.

How will you protect my keys?

We specially code your keys (there is no personal information on any key) then lock them away in a safe away from where your file is kept.

What happens in an emergency?

In a life threatening pet-related emergency, we first contact the emergency vet closest one to your home. We administer CPR/first-aid (if it is helpful) and transport your pet (we transport in an emergency at no charge) to that emergency facility. We will then contact you as soon as possible. In a non-life threatening, or in a house-related urgency, we will first contact you using the “contact now” number listed on your contract, and your emergency contact person if necessary.
What does an Overnight visit consist of?

An Overnight visit runs 12 hours usually from 8 pm to 8 am. After we arrive we give dinner and evening exercise to your pets, and stay overnight attending to their nightly needs if necessary. In the morning we give them breakfast and morning exercise. We then secure your home and leave for the day.

What does a Live-In visit consist of?

In the PM portion of the 24 hour period, we give dinner and evening exercise, stay over night, and give breakfast and morning exercise in the AM portion. During the daytime hours we may leave your home for up to 6.5 hours at a time, returning for a midday, hour long exercise and playtime. Your pets must be able to be left alone, or secured for at least 6.5 hours at a time with this arrangement. The midday hours may vary depending on how booked we are at the time. In any event, your pets are guaranteed an Overnight, and at least an hour's worth of midday time.

Do you do"Windows"?

We ask that you keep your requests to pet-related, and home security-related activities only. We will of course clean-up after ourselves, and we will clean-up after your pets if it is a reasonable amount. If however, your pets are untrained, experience separation-anxiety and are destructive as a result, or are just very, very messy, we will have to charge you accordingly when you return home for the time required to cope with these issues, especially during the 30 minute daily visits. This charge also applies in the event you have a house-related event occur in your absence, and we are unable to enlist a friend or relative of yours to help.

How do you protect our Identity?

We never give out to anyone at any time any personal information about any of our clients. without your express permission. Furthermore, we are bound by our insurance, and maybe more importantly...our reputation. We also have a vested interest to protect all of our records. Our Veterinarian Authorization form for example is written so that it can only be used by the Veterinarian named on it. Furthermore, we should point out that it is not possible to use the information on it to steal one's identity as all the information needed to do such a thing is not required on the form. However, you can be assured that the infomation you do give us is more safe with us than your average retailer, since we are the only persons with access to it (other than the named Vet). Your average retailer such as a restaurant will have many, many constantly changing individuals (of whom you don't even know!) with access to your personal information at any given time. Besides.....you know where we live!
